Healthy Choices Abstinence Education Program
The standard definition of "abstinence" is "voluntarily choosing not to do something." PDHC teaches that abstaining from premarital sex is the best choice for achieving healthy sexuality. Healthy Choices Abstinence Education Program has been established to reach and teach our youth the truth concerning the positive and negative results from the choices they make.
The Healthy Choices Abstinence Education Program is an "abstinence only until marriage" program; therefore, we emphasize abstinence from sexual activity as the only 100% effective protection against unwanted pregnancies, STDs, and emotional consequences. Our program curricula focus on teaching that abstinence is a positive, practical, achievable lifestyle that promotes self control, respect for others, responsibility, maturity, and good health.
